Promising scholars high school was started with the objective of making school a happy place, and learning, a happy experience. Learning is a natural process and happens best when the learner is eager to learn. It comes about in an atmosphere of love, good relationship and friendliness and only when both the teacher and the taught have open and receptive minds. Learning based on fear and coercion is not real learning and respect extracted through such fear, again, is not real respect at all. Fear and other inhibitions, as well as authoritarian attitudes, build walls of resistance between students and teachers.
The society “HAZARAT AMIR KHUSRO EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY” was established during 2001 with the main objective is to provide quality education to the rural children and poor of Hyderabad & surrounding neighbourhoods. The Founder , Aijazunisa Begum had a philanthropic outlook and a vision to establish primary, secondary and higher secondary school.
The society had initially established a primary, secondary school and developed Middle School, High School with total strength presently studying of 370 students. The society had obtained recognition from the authorities and Government . The society strives to implement the conditions laid down by the authorities and manage the day today activities of the institutions systematically. It had built up good infrastructure to provide convenient learning environment to the students such as Classrooms, Library, Science Lab, playground and other equipments so that the students learn to achieve good results. The students are encouraged to participate in sports and cultural activities. The society is actively involved in social upliftment and nation building activities by giving standard education along with moral teaching as to mould them as good future citizens for the benefit of the society as a whole and the country.
The society is constantly improving the standards of education by adopting latest technologies such, Digital Education, Computer laboratory, and by organising remedial classes. The society has future plans to start vocational training classes and skill development classes that help students to have an edge in applying for jobs in future.
The society is a Non-Profit organisation and the society applies all the receipts for the education, welfare and operations and it runs a school for achieving the objectives.
The society has registrations under section 12AA and 80G of the Income Tax Act for the nature of services provided by the society.
Proper education is one of the most lacking aspect in Minority community
Although government is trying hard to equal opportunities by introducing new schemes and programmes which assist these groups financially but due to lack of information, education and communication does not reach the target population img-responsive
Lack of enterprising leadership in education
The another important reason for educational backwardness of Muslim minority is that Muslim girls and women lag behind. The average literacy of girls is very low and depressing. There are many reasons such as gender biasness, social economic status, illiterate parents , early marriages, absence of schools in the area, etc
Large number of Muslim children go to Madarsa to get education but these Madarsa emphasis on religious education only, in this era of competition a child need holistic development , which only religious education cannot provide.
By analyzing the above factors the founders believe that:
“Education is the single most important instrument for social and economic transformation. A well-educated population, adequately equipped with knowledge and skill essential to support economic growth” With this aim the founders have focused on established of school great infrastructure of buildings, adequate class rooms, library, science laboratories, play grounds in middle of the city in Hyderabad.
